Corsica-born Estelle Rocca-Serra, is a self-taught painter, she first exhibited while a student in Paris in 1996. Four years later, she moved to London to pursue a dual career in art and graphic design in the City of London. In early 2007 she decided to focus exclusively on her art.

Her first source of inspiration was her father, a keen amateur oil painter who encouraged Estelle to develop her talent. Her childhood was spent experimenting with most mediums from charcoal and pastel to oils and watercolours, she's recently turned to more experimental techniques which can be seen in her latest 'Glimpse' series. Her sensibility in the use of light is partly inspired by the Dutch masters, particularly Rembrandt. Another influence is Modigliani for the sensuality he depicted in his work.
